Information For Authors

Federal Prison, Law & Policy (FPLP) welcomes original scholarship from academics, attorneys, judges, policymakers, researchers, educators, correctional professionals, practitioners, and other contributors whose work advances understanding of federal corrections and related legal, policy, educational, administrative, and social-science issues.

Prospective authors should review the journal’s  Author Guidelines and section policies before submitting. Articles and Essays ordinarily undergo anonymous peer review, while other sections may be evaluated through editorial review as described in their respective policies.

Authors must register or log in to begin a submission. FPLP is open access, does not charge readers for access to published scholarship, and authors retain copyright subject to the journal’s publication and licensing terms.
